No sound from Vizio (P42HDe)

Hi, just got my Vizio P42HD from Costco :-) Couple of things:

1. Which mounting bracket (simple type) to get and from where (looking around $100) that will nicely fit this Vizio

2. I just connected my DVD (not progressive scan) to the TV via component cable for video and connected the audio OUT from DVD to audio IN on the TV...No sound whatsoever...volume is turned up all the way, but nothing..Do I have to have a prog scan DVD player to connect via component?

what model DVD player?
What type of audio connection to the TV? (red/white, coax, optical)?
Do you get a picture?

No do not need a Prog Scan player to use component.

Thanks Ratman..I have been away from computer for some time now and did not get a chance to look at ur reply..anyways, I had to reset the DVD player to factory settings and it all worked fine...the sound was stuck somewhere, perhaps going thru flu :-)
