Probably a stupid question, but can the SA8300HD display a PIP if the TV (Sony A10) doesn't have a native PIP function???

thnx

Yes, the SA8300HD PIP is totally separate, though the display options are probably more limited than many TVs today, like split-screen vs the large/small window.

Is there any way to move the pip box from the 4 pre-programmed positions that are in the middle of the screen? I would love to be able to move the pip box out into the finges of the screen. When you are watch an HD signal the pip box is basically in the middle of the action. Seems the default positions are still geared for a 4x3 picture on a box that is capable of 16x9. What's up with that?

Sorry, not that I've ever heard, WYSIWYG. I don't even use it anymore because I got used to the split-screen option on my Hitachi and I still use that occassionally, though now one screen is analog (not that bad if you just want to keep track of a second game).
