So I just bought my dlp tv. I'm excited as all hell... gets here tomorrow.

anywho, I was looking at the specs, and it has 1 HDMI and 1 DVI audio (whatever that means) imputs.

Can I connect my Direct TV HD box to the HDMI and a DVI dvd player to the DVI input?

Are you sure? There's no such thing as DVI Audio since DVI carries video signals only.

See the HDTV FAQ on "DVI/HDMI Information" and the FAQ on "Cables & Connections". As stated above, DVI doesn't carry audio, but perhaps there is an audio connection under the DVI connector. Most people would connect the audio (digital coax or optical) from their DVD player to their A/V receiver.
