Which HDTV technology is best for a bright room? Most of my viewing is in the evening, so ambient light is controllable. However, NFL is usually on during the day. The room has lots of windows and skylights.
Thanks for any pointers
Kevin
Probably should be looking at an LCD or DLP-based RPTV if you want the best value and a larger size.
In the smaller sizes (34" or less) a CRT-based direct view TV.
See the HDTV FAQ "Types of HDTV".
I suggest you put a better description of your location in your profile. It often helps us help you when it's time to discuss specifics.

FWIW, I have my HDTV (65" Hitachi with anti-glare screen) on one wall in the family room. On the wall to the left (west) are 3 large (6'x4') windows, though they are shaded with fruit trees. On the right is an open kitchen with a large (6'x3') window and large (8'x6') arcadia door of glass, though half is covered by vertical blinds. My chair is at about a 30 degree angle off to the kitchen side while my wife (currently ill) watches from a twin bed below the windows to the left. We have absolutely no problems viewing anything anytime, day or night.
