OK, I've got a couple questions, and I'm just wondering if someone could help me out.
First, has anyone ever had a problem with a refurbished HD Tuner, or should I just go for the new version of one of the new Samsung tuners?

Also, I'm still a bit unclear on this whole antenna reception thing--I'm about 15 miles from two channels' antennas here, and about 18 from another. I get great SD reception on all three with an antenna that's slightly better than rabbit ears. Does the SD reception usually translate into good HD reception, or is there a difference? I'm renting a home, so an indoor antenna is probably best for me (I have a 2 story house, so I'll put it in the upstairs spare room). Do you think a silver sensor antenna would work best?

1- If the refurb is a good price and you can easily return it if there is an issue, go for it.

2- Usually good analog reception relates to good digital reception (not all digital broadcasts are HD), there are cases where stations broadcast digitally from other locations or not at the same strength as analog though. If all your stations are UHF, the Silver Sensor would probably work for you, check antennaweb.org and post the results here if you need further assistance.
