Sorry but im kinda a newby in HDTV but im learning :p

As the title says i need advice on what tv to get, This tv will be for Movies and for Xbox 360 :D

Im only 15 in rl and dont want to be spending an amazing amount on a tv :S so a price range of nothing over £900 would be good (hopefully cheaper???, like £800 im not sure if thats just a stupid price but i wont know till im told)

Any info on this would be appreciated, thx in advance.

If your considering gaming, get an LCD instead since they are cheaper and plasma is very prone to burn-in which is why i'm steering clear of it since i game heavily.

Good luck!

Wouldn't a DLP be better for a person wanting to game? Since they don't get burn in? I know that may be over your price range but it may be worth it in the long run to just save untill you could get it instead?

Ty for the reply.

It really does depend on the price and how good it is :p

How much over my limit is it?

Sony,Panasonic,Sharp,Toshiba look into these brands like i am myself.

It seems were both searching for a new display, but for myself, i'm going to wait untill at least october since there is supposed to be some new models coming out soon.

LCD does not suffer from burn in either.
Neither does LCoS (DiLA).

Not sure what £900 translates to in US dollars, but I recently bought a 23" Toshiba LCD TV for about $1300.00. Very nice unit.

Hope this helps,

Larry

Not sure what £900 translates to in US dollars...

900 British Pound = 1,654.65 US Dollar
900 US Dollar (USD) = 489.530 British Pound (GBP)

Thanks for the info. I suppose I could have looked it up myself.
