Why is it that the picture on some HD channels, when showing 4:3 content are shifted a bit to one side while 4:3 content on other HD channels is dead center?

For example..I have Comcast in Harford County, MD (north of Baltimore). Both of my Fox HD channels are shifted to the right a good 2" when showing 4:3 content, ABC is shifted to the right about 1", while CBS & ESPN are pretty much dead center. What could be causing this. I don't think it's my equipment...

Hitachi 51F510 & Pace DC550 STB.

Any ideas?

Although the TV may require some minor geometry adjustments, I'd start with trying to get Comcast to address your concerns.

It could be a flaky cable box. Also, if you know anyone elase in your area using Comcast and has an HDTV, ask if they see the same symptoms.

I have a 51F510 and the first HD cable box i got was a Pace and it sucked. The colors were way off, no reds at all, and the picture was shifted to the left a little. It may just be your box. :mic:
