Digital Channel Number Assignments

Does anyone have a handle on the channel numbers on sets with digital tuners built in?

I programmed a Sony 34" TV with CableCard option and I also programmed a Sharp 45" LCD, also with CableCard. Both without cards.

To my supprise, I found that CH 79.3 is not the same on both.

Any ideas? (This is in the Philadelphia Comcast area)

If you don't use a CableCard or an external box provided by Comcast, your internal QAM tuners will map channels differently.

That's just one of the 'quirks'.

Nice to know Comcast has QAM in New Castle County, not sure why your seeing the same channel in two different channel locations though, must be differences in how the QAM tuners in your sets are mapping channel numbers. I've seen online that Comcast in Philly likes to move them around a lot too so it's hard to find a list of them that's current.
