We had DIrect Tv hook up their dishes to three sets in our house, 2 of which are working fine. The third, which by the way was the main reason we wanted the dish to begin with is continually fading in and out of any local or HD channels. Reps from DIrect have been here at least 5 times and the problem persists. So we really cant watch those channels on that tv. IT's a beautiful set! My question is, has anyone had similar issues? I am ready to tell them to pick up their stuff and switch back to cable. They don't think it's the receiver, they have checked the cables, tightened things, moved things, adjusted,, What could it be? HELP

Swap it to another TV, see if the problem follows the receiver for starters...

The other TV's aren't high definition thus they do not use this receiver, so that won't work. But thanks for the tip

The receiver you have has composite and s-video outs abd probably an RF, you can hook it up for testing...

Don't mean to sound like I don't know what I am doing, (because I don't :)) but how do I hook it up to test it. I asume you mean to one of the other tv's. I actually have 2 receivers . One the techs left here and the other is hooked up to my 60 " set with the card in it that is activated. the other card isn't activated.

Hook the receiving having problems to another TV in the house so you can test a different run down from the dish, it'll help you determine if it's the dish/cabling or the receiver.
