42" Sony HDTV - Closed Caption Issues

We recently purchased a 42inch Sonny Widescreen WEGA LCD projetion HDTV model KDF42WE655. We noticed that on the HD channels we aren't able to read the closed caption. Either it isn't there or we can only read the top line. For example our cable channel provides ABC analog regular channel and an ABC HD channel. The Monday night football game appears on the ABC analog regular channel with closed caption but on the ABC HD channel the football game doesnt have closed caption. Do you know why? Many of the shows on HD channels are not captioned. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

I just scanned my HD channels (about 25 of them) and I got CC on almost every one. What are your other channels doing? Was the problem only on MNF?

Sometimes there are options on how to display CC. For example, my STB allows me to chose between "original format" or background colour, etc. I'm not sure if your TV provides those types of options.
