Sony KP-46WT510 good buy or not

Hey guys, this is my first post but I'm always on the site soaking up all the knowledge. I'm thinking of buying a Sony KP-46WT510 second hand, the main reason I want it is to play Xbox 360 on when it comes out. It's going for 1100 can. but I'm going to try to get it for 800-900. Now the question is, is this a good decision? Or should I try to get a newer set. A couple that I'm looking at are The Samsung 50" HLR5064 and the Hitachi 50" 50V500. Money is slight issue right now so I'm trying to save some bucks. I'm really trying to convince the wife to let buy a new one though.
Can I please get your guys opinions on each set, it would be a real help.

Well for about $300-400 more you can get a newer model Sony 45inch. But it is up to you though.
