Here's my problem, please help! Time Warner is stumped!
I had my HD box put in by Time Warner yesterday. 10 minutes after the guy left, while watching ESPNHD, the picture froze and screwed up, the box reset itself, and I had to turn it back on and watch a screen load. This happened two more times.
Then, while on the HD channels, it screwed up again, and now, there is a black and white striped thing covering half the screen when I am using that Component as the input, even while on the analog channels. This thing is there even when the cable box is turned off. Switching the input cables to Component 2 produced the same effect there.
And now, when I plug my ps2 cables back into the Component inputs THAT picture is screwed up, flickering and red.
So to summarize, switching to the Component input that the HD box runs to produces the black and white thing over half the screen on the analog channels, and a fully screwed up screen while on HD channels. The half screen screwup is there even when the HD box is turned off. And using the same inputs for my games doesnt work now either.
Time Warners "HD Expert" had no idea what to do, beyond unplugging the tv for an hour or two to try and reset to the factory defaults. Does anyone know anything about this????
