When i watch hdtv from cox cable and the picture moves really fast the screen gets blotchy or digital boxes appear. It could maybe im using a crappy hdmi cable or cox??????

This is a limitation of MPEG. It's called macroblocking. See the HDTV FAQ on "Acronyms and Definitions". This is not caused by the connection, etc.
