Hello,

I have some general questions about this TV. I am trying to optimize the picture settings with the avia home theatre dvd.

1) Where do i get these red, green, blue filters?
2) Does anybody have already have a good setup - Can you give me your settings - My room is relatively dim.
3)I am trying to figure out what dvd player to buy for the TV? I want one with the HDMI output. I am trying out the Sony DVP-NS70H and the picture quality is great but some of the picture gets cut off. Also considering the sony DVP-NS975V, but it seems to be getting very poor reviews.

Thanks for your help

G Gill :)

1. The filters are inside the DVD package.
2. Each TV is unique, so someone elses settings may not apply to your TV and environment. People are welcome to provide you their settings anyway.
3, 4. Lots of DVD players have been discussed on this forum. Search for the model and the comments associated with that model.

Well 1st great pick! That’s the same set I have and I love it and have no issues with it at all. I have not really adjusted the setting much the Cinamotion is turned off by default you might turn that on. As far a DVD players really any of the Sony's that have the HDMI input will work well the DVP-NS70H,DVP-NS90V the 90V is the newer single disk model. I would probably look at the NS90V if it was me this is the model I would get if I was going to buy. On the filters I have not messed with any of those do to the TV setup was set really good out of the box. The only thing you might half to adjust is the Wide Modes is all. Once you find a mode you like you can set it as your default and I use the "Standard” option as far as video. Vivid is too bright for me but again it all depends on what you like. Right now I'm waiting on the stand to come in for the TV. Overall great choice and on the DVD player I would look at the NS90V which is a better model than the two you have mentioned. I hope this helped some if you have any more questions let me know. Oh if you do console stuff like PS2 or whatever turn on ''Game Mode" due to it's off by default if you dont play PS2 then just leave it off.

Hi ,

I have a question on the picture quality of non-HD programs on this set. I read that the
HD quality is superb on this set and it is worth the money, but not sure about the
non-HD picture quality. I am seriously considering this one, but would like to hear from
others who own this set. If this is not a good one for non-HD, is there any suggestions
for a 50-60 range HD TV that is also good for non-HD in the same price range ?

This is generally a problem with most HD televisions.
