Hello! I own a Sony 50" LCD Projection TV and was wondering if anyone knew why the replacement lamps are so darn expensive.?.? I wish they would make a more reasonably priced lamp for these TV's. What do you all think?

Check on ebay you can pick up a bulb for about $200 or less.
There are so many variables that effect the bulb life so it hard to say just how long it will last. On avg. it seems to be between one and two years. I would recommend once you hit about a year or so go out and buy one to have on hand so when it does go out your not without your TV.
