I have a samsung dlp with a pc(vga) input, and was wondering if there is a difference in quality between the two? I checked out the cost of the ms vga cable and they want 38.99 for it, where the component comes with the 400.00 360. Any input would be great.

There's probably no difference.
I don't know which model DLP you have, but the PC (VGA) input on the 1080P Samsungs is an input that will accept 1080P from a computer.
The other inputs are all limited to 1080i. Since the 360 is 720P or 1080i, there is no difference.
