If you want HD resolution(s)... this should not be considered an option.

There are already plenty of threads discussing EDTV, vs HDTV. Do a search for EDTV + HDTV on this forum.
If you can't afford an HD Plasma, consider one of the other less expensive technologies. See the HDTV FAQ "Types of HDTV".
If you must have a plasma and you feel that an EDTV is an option for you, then fine.

What exactly are your requirements? (Then we could be more helpful with suggestions.)
Also... you may also want to look at some of the FAQ's for more insight before making any conclusions.

thanks for the suggestions but would NEVER spend more than $20 on a Magnavox, RCA, JVC or Philips. They are garbage imho. Its like buying a Chevy Aveo, and saying its the same as a Lexus LS430 or Mercedes S-Class.
Intersting, you have Chevy money and Mercedes taste. You may need to buy used. ;)

well nismo, the tv you were about to buy would have really dissappointed you. it is not hd (not even 1080i) and you are wanting 720p lol. i'm with everyoneelse, the faq section would really help you out. I spent a lot of time there when i first came here and it answered 99% of my q's. I would surely do some research before you spent 500 dollars on a tv.

Here's an option that fits your requirements and doesn't fall into the "Chevy" category:
Samsung DLP 46" (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Samsung-46-DLP-HDTV-HL-R4667W-/sem/rpsm/oid/125630/catOid/-12870/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do)

Im also 18 years old lol. The reason im lookin at that price range is because I am good friends with the district manager of a few home theater stores in the south, real good prices, and i wanted that area so i could get a boston acoustics surround sound kit and a decent reciever.
