Anyone know if it's possible to program a SHAW DCT6412 remote to do specific functions that another remote can do. For example: I'm tired of having to always go to my TV remote when I want to change zoom modes on my TV. I'd love to setup a button on the STB remote to do that. Is it possible to point the TV remote at the STB remote and program it to learn that command?

I dunno if I'm wishing for something impossible but it'd be so convenient :)

You need a "learning" remote to be able to do what you ask. The STB remote doesn't have that functionality.

You will need to get a programmable remote - something like the Harmony models would be recommended. Go to the Harmony website and take one for a test drive.
