View Full Version : External HDD for Videotron SA8300 Series - Now Available - C$199.
Western Digital Hard Drives, thats what I saw at a videotron both in the mall they connect to the sa8300 and also match it in looks,the guy behind the both didn't know anything about it just he was told to put them out and say coming soon to anybody.
Did they happen to indicate a price?
no the guy didn't have any info at all,but man it was nice matched the sa8300 perfectly would fit right in my wall unit , I'm going back tomorrow I'll ask again , I'd bring my camera but the wife thinks I'm too geeky as it is, LOL
ok it holds an extra 100hrs (he didn't know the drive size or if the 100 is SD or HD) no pricing yet it's the full lenth of the sa8300 about 1.5" high and 5-6" wide, also he wasn't sure how it connects I asume firewire.
It would likely connect to the SATA connector. The 100 hours would be SD and would indicate it's the same size as the internal drive - 160 GB.
As you know, many people have bought their own SATA drives with 250-300+ size, probably for less money than this will cost...
ya but it's nice to see that videotron is seeing what's going on and making other options.
