No, they use LCD and LCoS technologies in their rear projection sets.

I'd probably lean towards the LCoS if I had the choice, no color wheels and no risk someone could see rainbows while watching the set. Wobulation is a work around to get around the fact TI hasn't put out a true 1920 x 1080 DLP chip yet also.

1080p sets in general still have issues such as the ability not to be able to accept a 1080p souce over HDMI that would make me want to wait before buying one. While there are no 1080p sources available yet, the upcoming HD DVD technologies and the PS3 will support it.

The Sony Qualia and SXRD lines are the LCoS models, the others are LCD. I suggest you hunt a few down local to you and check them out.
