I came across this site on a Google search and have been poking around on the forums the last few days.
I'm looking to upgrade my 32" Trinitron, and have been TV shopping the last few weeks. I've bounced around from Plasma to LCD to projection and have fallen in love with the KDS-R60XBR1. The only issue I'm having right now is finding a good price on one!
I've found them listed ~3900 US on Ecost and that seems to translate after shipping and GST to $5300 shipped to my door. The problem I'm having is Sony's pricing seems very skewed - Canadian retailers are asking $6500 for a set! I've talked a few down to $5499 (pre-tax!) with a $700 5 year warranty purchase, but this still seems completely unfair.
I guess the question I have is - who here has bought one in Canada and what did you pay for the set? I was looking at their lower end stuff and thought that was nice but I'd really rather pay the premium for such a sexy screen. I just don't want to get bent over a barrel for it :pimpy:
