Alright, I've been bitten by the Tivo bug. Over at my parents over the holidays and saw their new DirecTV DVR with Tivo service. All I currently have is OTA hd through the Toshiba DST-3000. Is there any option available to record from that source?

See the HDTV FAQ on "Recording HD". I believe there are a couple of integrated OTA DVRs (LG?), but they are not cheap. There's also the HTPC route. There's also D-VHS (tape). The HTPC and D-VHS require a firewire connection.

If you feel like dropping $500, you can have a firewire port added to the DST-3000, you'd still need a D-VHS desk or HTPC to record though.

A stand alone ATSC tuner with DVR would be an easier option.
