I just bought a 27" samsung HDTV and i can not get the HDTV to work with my XBOX 360 at all. it works in regular AV Mode but when i hit the HDTV switch on the HD cables it says no signal. i have tried every configuration possible...yet nothing works....do i need an HD receiver or something???? Please help this is very frustrating.
No HD receiver necessary, just the appropriate settings and appropriate connections.

talked to samsung, they said i need a HD attachment to filter in the HD feed ???? this sound like BS or ....?

Have you setup the XBox to output 1080i (HD)? It's probably more than just hooking up cables...

Sounds about right on the 27" TBH, Its the new 26"s that are 720p compatible straight out of the box. Even with the switch set to HD you should still be able to display 480p though. Try the VGA cable ($40) if your TV has the input, worked great for me. Or maybe as Ratman says your 360 may be set to 1080i hence it saying no signal if your TV doesnt support it. Hook it up through composite and check the display setting, Good luck mate.
