When I get my 360 will I be able to play online against friends that still have the original XBOX?

Yes you can, I have played live with 360 owners. It is not the box but he game. If the Game is exclusive to the 360 then only 360 owners can play live.

Well that's cool, because I've got friends that don't have HDTVs that decided they would wait to get the 360 till they get a new TV.
