I have a Samsung TSL3293hx with a SA3100HD stb from Time Warner. Before getting the stb (just watching the analog side) I was receiving stereo signal from every channel (that was stereo). Now since hooking up the stb, I do not get stereo separation from the analog side anymore, but I do get great sound separation from all the other inputs. When I remove the stb and hook the cable directly into the tv I get the stereo back on the analog side. It appears that all is connected properly. Any suggestions, reasons why I am loosing the sound quality on the analog tuner side when the stb is connected?
How do you have the STB connected to the TV - via component video (or S-Video/composite video for SD stations) and the two (red and white) RCA audio? Check the RCA audio cables to make sure they're working/connected properly. You may wish to unplug one at a time to see if there is a difference (when you remove either the left or right connection, only the other side should be working) ... You may wish to try another input.... You may wish to try another set of RCA cables...

Do you think that I am not getting enough signal strength from TW to get the analog stereo once it goes thru my vcr (stereo) and into my set?
You didn't mention a VCR in your first post, but that's probably not the problem.
Check out the FAQ section, 6th one down on the home page, for the post "how to hook up a VCR..."
