View Full Version : Dead Pixels over time?

I am wondering, of all the fixed pixel technologies currently on the
market, are there any ( all? ) where individual pixels "die" after a
period of time ( months/years?). I would hate to buy a large expensive
display and then start getting dead pixels within a few month/years but I havent heard any talk of this. Does this ever happen? Seems like it would be
fatal/irrepairable short of replacing the imaging device which would very costly
even if possible and the presence of ANY dead pixels would be totally unacceptable from a program viewing standpoint...Curious.

....but I havent heard any talk of this. Guess you haven't been listening. ;) Over 70 previous threads on the subject.

I havent visited the site at all for a few months. Thanks for the link but it aint
working. Whats the answer? , which technologies, if any, develop dead pixels after
initially working ok for a while? TIA.

For some reason the serchid's that Ratman and I supplied are not working, however, by putting "dead pixel*" into the site's search engine, you'll find the threads. Don't know if the searchid "times out" or not...
