Need a new HDTV

well, i bought a samsung 27" HDTV flat-tube months before the xbox 360 came out, until i finally got my hands on a 360. This part was so dissapointing, mainly because my tv looks like an eyesore on 1080i and doesnt even support 720p. It only works correctly on 480p, because it is not a widescreen......yes i know i am a n00b......however i want to buy a good replacement for this mistake and was looking torward the $400-$500 range for a below 30" widescreen HDTV. What do you reccomend would be a trustworthy tv?

I have a toshiba and I'm happy,I have a friend with a Phillips he loves it also read about JVC's on this site they seam good ,do some research on which is best for you,good luck.

hey, can u get the same 720p display with a smaller tv?.....like a below 20"? Do any exist? Cuz that would be awesome to be able to play xbox 360 in 720p and switch to computer work if i had it on my desktop. :D
