Plasma HDTV's.

I have a question regarding plasma HDTV's.

I was told that Plasma HDTV consumes about 600 watts of power when they are on.


Is this true? Seems really high to me....if this is true, they can market it as a space heater.

Not sure of the exact amount, but Plasmas are power hungry.

I was under the impression that they used relatively little power (as compared to CRT's).
