Does anyone know if u can purchase TV Remotes from Hitachi for their 57F500, not really wanting to go with a Universal (as that would be the Comcast Remote) which in turn i have to get down right up on the tv to adjust anything in the menu screens.... and would like to have the functionality of the remote for the tv itself..

A Universal wouldnt have to be a comcast remote. You can buy any brand of Universal Remote. As for your main question, I dont think you can buy a remote from Hitachi. Your best bet would be Ebay but even that is doubtful.
I see no reason that you couldn't purchase a TV remote from Hitachi. It wouldn't be cheap though. Send them an e-mail if you're interested.

Check out remotes.com, replacementremotes.com, and pacparts.com (I've only personally dealt with pacparts.com)
