I was looking at the specs for an Olevia TV. They say

"Formats Supported: 1080i (HDTV)|480i (SDTV)|480p (EDTV)|720p (HDTV)"

and then

"Formats Displayed: 480i (SDTV)|480p (EDTV)|768p"

Does this mean it won't display in HD? Are all LCD's like this?

768 lines of resolution is considered HD, the set will convert all incoming sources to 768p for display.

No, not all LCDs are like this. Some of the newer ones are true 1080p resolution.

Secondly, I dont understand why they are saying "formats displayed" as both
480 and 768 because if its a 768 LCD, everthing is converted to 768p, the 480
shouldnt be there, it should only be in the "supported" spec.
