Can i watch hd trailer movies with dvd player?

I want to ask something about hd movies. Can i burn hd trailers or movies to a dvd and watch them with connecting with hdmi or rgb to the tv? Does dvd supports it? I tried once but i couldnt manage to show it? Or is there a way to burn them to a dvd?

the only HD trailers I've seen were from apple and I think they use the h.264 codec. I don't think you could burn that directly to DVD format, you'd need to reencode. Why waste your HD TV just for trailers. Bleh.

Plenty can be found at http://hdclips.net.

Once you burn them to disc, they will not be in HD any more. You will need to stream them to your TV from your PC.
