It appears that the Detroit digitals will all remain UHF after the changeover, so a Channel Master 4228 with a solid run of RG-6 to your tuner should work for you.

It has wide enough beam to cover the 16 degree variance of the Detroit stations and enough strength to pull them all in. Aim it about 320 degrees, tweak it and enjoy.

Careful Jim, I think you meant to use RG-6, not RG-8, which is not designed for Television use. Additionally, he can probably get away with a Channel Master 4221 4-bay in his situation: it has enough gain, and won't be quite so picky about aiming.

A CM 4228 at 2 miles from the transmitter?! That's like using a V-16 engine in a weed wacker: OVERKILLLL!!!!!!!!!!!

You can try an indoor antenna, but be aware that most of your stations are listen by antennaweb.com as "RED" because of the potential for a lot of multipath interference, on which many digital receivers choke. If you want to try an indoor antenna, go ahead, but don't say you weren't warned! As for which antenna to try: pick up a Radio Shack 15-624 ora Zenith or Gemini Silver Sensor. Good luck!
