Xbox 360 on 50in Philips plasma HELP!!!!

I am trying to play HD 360 on a Philips 50 inch plasma with Direct TV HD. My dad has a HD reciever, and we watch all sports in HD. So i know it has HD.

I have the HD cable for the 360, and i hooked the blue, green, red, red, and yellow cables into the back of the HD reciever. I turned it to video, and no picture. Then i unplugged the blue, green and red cables, and i was able to play 360 in standard TV. I did make sure the switch was turned to hd, and i still got no picture.

So whenever i plugged the red, green and blue cables into the slots on the reciever, i got no picture, when i unplugged them, i could play in standard.


CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME. I MUST PLAY/SEE HD GAMING!!!!

The cables have to go into the TV, not the receiver. ;)

I think the OP means the "HD receiver" (STB), not an A/V receiver. I could be wrong...

I see should have read slower sorry dude, possiblely the cable company does not have that function enabled hook directly to the tv and have fun it's an awsome time

I dont see the red, green, and blue hook ups on the tv

can you post the model #.if the tv has only one set you'll have to unplug the direct view or use a audio reciever like me.

I did make sure the switch was turned to hd, and i still got no picture.

If the TV doesn't have component inputs... it won't work.
