I was under the assumption (after reading tons of other forums) that the sharpness setting in all TV's generate the illusion of clarity by producing more jagged edges. Does anyone know if this statement is true w/ Xbox 360? I personally think that a little more sharpness rather than no sharpness at all looks better on my set w/ my Xbox 360. :thankyou3

With newer sets, many incorporate SVM (Scan Velocity Modulation) or VSM which is an 'edge enhancement. It can produce artificial jagginess or 'ringing'. The effect is different from set to set.

Use the setting(s) that looks best to you.

Have a look at the HDTV FAQ "What you need to do to your new HDTV."
