Tried Terk, Philips, and another model I cannot recall but none of them worked without much user (me) interaction. But tonight I went to Radio Shack and bought this kick-butt indoor amplified antenna w/REMOTE CONTROL! http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2131034&cp and brought it home. 5 minutes later I was watching uninterupted HDTV coverage of the Olympics! I live 30 miles from the towers.

This antenna doesn't actually look half bad [for an indoor antenna, any way].
Does the rotation of the antenna have a dig effect on the signal? I'm just wondering how directional it is.

Imagine an outdoor antenna with a rotor on it...this is the same just smaller. You set the antenna where you want it and you don't have to get up to change position. The remote will turn the element inside to 12 different positions. Then, once you find what works for you, you can program that into the antenna's memory and you won't have to fiddle around searching. I am watching the Olympics right now. I really, really, really like this antenna.
