View Full Version : Weird lines on AKAI lcd

My mom bought a 27in hdtv ready akai lcd. I was watching tv on it and when there was a large area of the same color, it would have lots of lines moving around. For example, there was a MCdonalds commercial and there was a lot of yellow on the screen. The yellow seemed to be made up of yellow and almost orange lines constantly moving down the tv. Anyone know what could be causing this. (We don't have HD channels, but the tv is hd ready, if that affects anything)

Have you tried changing the colors or Brightness on the screen? Could be too much color. I have mine setup for color Temp to warm. Also try adjusting the Sharp. Might be a bit high

Yes,
Usually you just need to adjust the temperature setting from warm to cold, if this has no effect it could be a connection issue, very rarely is this a service issue.
Have a look at the HDTV FAQ "What you need to do to your new HDTV". This may help along with the suggestions above.
