Fox HD channel looks worse than the SD

I am new to HD so I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question, but I have Cox cable in CT using the HD-DVR box to receive HD channels. The Fox HD channel looks worse than the SD channel. I was wondering if anyone new of anything I could do to improve the channel's PQ. All the other HD channels look great.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about true 16:9 HD coming in on the Fox channel, or about 4:3 upconverted. If you're talking about true HD, then something's amiss.

I called Cox and they claimed to have had a problem just the other night and that is was corrected. When I tuned in to Fox last night (unfortunately, American Idol was on) the picture was much clearer. Apparently the fixed whatever the problem was.
