View Full Version : Would you buy Samsung 240T for both computer monitor and HDTV?

I am considering buying a Samsung 240T monitor for my home recording studio. I would use it for (1) a computer monitor when editing audio data, and (2) watching DVDs/satellite (music concerts, etc.). I now have both a Mitsubishi 2020u monitor AND a TV in the studio, and I don't really have room for the TV. I have just added surround sound, so a separate TV would have to go WAY up on the wall above the center speaker and monitor.

There are so few monitors which offer both (1) computer digital/analog inputs AND (2) s-video with high resolution. This unit is pricey, but it looks like the best large widescreen option for both functions (Sony's largest dual function is 19", the Planar WS231 is only 4:3 ratio).

Any advice on this choice?
Anyone know if this will be replaced with a newer model soon (it has been around a while)?

Thanks!
Mike
