this finally arrived in the mail is it is an amazing game. The graphics are unreal. The controls are fairly simple once you get used to them but the AI is pretty smart. Hard game but fun as hell

I agree, great game (graphics, gameplay, etc..) and you just can't "run & gun" through the missions, you have to strategize your attacks with air/ground support and your soldiers.
Mulitplayer over Live is a blast too!

GRAW is a visual masterpiece. It has odd flaws here and there, but 99% of the time it looks great. The multi-player is the same as GR2, essentially, which is a blessing and a curse. GRAW's single-player is not at all tactical or strategic, which is a shame. The enemy is smart enough but the squad AI is as dumb as I've seen, recently. The game is pretty short, too. I beat it in 7.5 hours.
It's a fun romp with some awesome moments. Some of the most memorable moments in recent gaming, for me. The explosions are great. I just wish there was better AI and more tactics.
It's a hell of a ride while it lasts, though, and definately my favorite piece of eye-candy (tied with Fight Night). If you were put off by tactics in past GR titles, this one was made for you. If you thought GR was getting too far away from tactics with each release, you'll want to rent it for the eye candy.
