How does Universal HD show the UNEDITED version of Scarface.
Dont think TNTHD would show that version.

probably since it isn't readily available......it is after all, only available in HD. TNT does have a non-HD channel, readily available on most cable and satellite operators basic plans.
That doesn't stop HDNet Movies from showing movies unedited :D
I peeped a couple minutes......looked pretty good!

Does Universal play movies in their respective OAR's? I once saw U-571 on there, but the entire screen was filled. I thought for sure that movie was shot in 2:35:1.

It's a cable channel not broadcast freely over the air, they can show whatever they want.

The studios sometimes make 3 HD versions of a 2.35:1 movie - the OAR, the 1.78 version and occasionally a 4:3 version (although that's odd for an HD movie, it has been done). Depending on what the broadcaster asks for, or depending on what the studio wants to send to the broadcaster, that's what you see. If you want to see OAR, ask your broadcaster to request OAR. That's what we've done with TMN our movie network, so they request OAR, but sometimes don't get it from the studio.
Regarding what's shown on TV, I believe it depends on the charter of the cable channel as to what can be shown. If, for example, the charter is to show children's movies, I doubt you'll see porn, but if the charter is to show uncut movies, that's what you'll see.
