Does anyone have any experience with this TV? I am considering buying one, and the reviews on Newegg.com are pretty good.

This TV is awesome. If anyone is considering buying this, it looks great from any viewing angle, it has plenty of connections, and the picture quality is perfect in SD and HD.

Good for you man! I was looking at that exact same set. J and R Music and Computers has it for 1399 with a 200 dollar mail in rebate making this 37 inch LCD tv 1299 with shipping. Really good deal. I ended up with the Vizio L37 because it was local for 1296 and the 4 year extended on site warrenty was only 189 bucks. I just bought it and mounted it today. Another really great looking TV for half the price of the name brands. I wanted the Panasonic 37 plasma but it was 1800 bucks and my wife wouldn't allow anymore money then what I spend on this one. I also liked what I was hearing about the Vizio sets. I really couldn't find much on the Viewsonic although I have a 19 inch lcd monitor from them and it's great.

i was going to buy the same viewsonic 37 but i just read on another site that the tv doesn't respond to other remotes. i.e...the on/off and volume buttons can't be used on my d-tv remote with this set. do you know if this is true? i've already got directv and don't want to use 2 remotes.

Well I wouldn't really know. I guess keep looking around. Maybe even PM or email the above poster to see if he can answer this. I would probably call viewsonic about this or email them and ask them. My local BJ's had the 40 inch LCD ViewSonic for sale and on display and it's a nice looking set even though BJ's had horrible SD feeding this set with lots of interference. All the sets at BJ's were on and SD feed with major problems. Unbelieveable! The only downside to the Vizio is that the bottom panel where the speakers are is really bulky. So the sets picture is a little higher then I desired on my wall. Going to have to move the mount down about 4 inches to improve it a little bit.

Jackson,
My cable box remote would not control the Viewsonic TV. I bought a Logitech Harmony 880. It controls all of my equipment.

Hey all,
I just bought one of of the N3251W hd tv's. I actually bought it from myself as I am a dealer. I was very dismayed to find that my Cox Cable DVR remote could not be programmed to control this TV. That said I want a resolution tho this issue. I have searched the web for a while to try and find info and I wanted to present it to you guys to see if it helped anyone.
these are all the codes I could find anywhere

No I don't think there are any other code, this white remote is made by UEI, same makers of the one-for-all line of universal remotes. The new OFA remotes have 4 codes for Viewsonic tv's, in addition too 1755, there are 0885, 0864, 0857. But none of these are in the white remote, even if you add the prefix 1****.
general
Newer remotes have viewsonic codes 0885, 0864, 0857, and 1755
A UEI made remote for the Directv, its the Rc32BB lists two more Viewsonic codes in addition to the ones listed in this thread, the codes are 1330 & 1342
Telus viewsonic codes
1245 1050
My specific remote provided by cox cable has instructions that it can learn codes by pressing a button maybe channel up after 990 or 991 and press power off (note I am work now so I am not in front of the TV or have the exact instructions in front of me) I tired this a few hundred times with no effect but as there are thousands of codes out there maybe I was just too impatient. That said once it is made to work this remote will let you rerieve the code that worked so maybe I will go back and try it longer. If I have any luck I will post it here. I also would wonder if any of the learning remotes that you guys get to work lets you retrieve the code that worked. If so maybe we can expand this library
I hope this helps someone
