My TV, Panasonic CT27-HL15, has two component inputs and a HDMI input and can run either 480p or 1080i. I was just wondering if I will get a better picture with the component cable or HDMI cable. I've read some reviews say that with 480p through component it looks better than 1080i and HDMI, but then some others say 1080i looks better.

So just wondering if there is any truth to this, or if that guy is just seeing things? Thanks.

See the HDTV FAQ "DVI/HDMI Information". The results, as indicted there, do vary. The only way for YOU to find out is to try the cable and resolution options for yourself. The links in the FAQ show places to buy the cables for $10-20.
