well all day my tv was fine,later at night i turned it on and said "what the heck" my tv had double images, wierd color mostly blue and green all images overlapped each other in just blue and green,any one know what moght be wrong, its 3 years old and it a The Panasonic 47WX49 HD Television.thanks
This is a CRT-based HDTV and many of them have their Convergence ICs blow after 3 years or so, just like yours. There also may be cracks on the convergence board and some resistors may also be shot. This is a fairly common problem.
Although the parts are different, the issue is the same, see the sticky on convergence problems at the top of the Hitachi forum.
Some people have fixed the TVs themselves for less than $100, while others get service people to do it for them for about $2-300.
