HDMI need to change input everytime

I have the Pany 50PX50OU and at first had Directv HD DVR via HDMI and worked great. then went to cablevision IO digital cable (Scientific American 8300 HD) via HDMI, but everytime i turned the cable box and tv back on, i would have to change the input of the TV from HDMI to something else then back to HDMI and it would pick up the signal. otherwise there was no picture...any thoughts??

Try turning the TV on first, then the STB. Also, see the HDTV FAQ "Tips for SA STBs".

yea i had tried that all before...tv first, cable box first...unplugged both and tried all again...i ended up selling the hdmi cable with the directv box so i might go get another hdmi cable, bad cable? but is there really a reason for hdmi, no better then component really...thanks though!!!
