Odd Question:
I need to get my PT-53x54 down a small satirway and get get it to fit. Does anybody know if it can be disconnected and seperated to go down in 2 pieces. Now I wouldn't do this on my own but would find somebody to do this.

It's not an odd question at all. Many people have asked similar ones. Some TVs are designed to be transported through small areas and have a "split design". These are usually the larger (55-65") TVs, but it depends on the manufacturer/model. Check your operating manual to see if it is a split design.
If it is not designed in this way, it can still be disassembled by a competent individual - perhaps check with your dealer. The charge is usually around $2-300 if the unit is not a "split design".

It would probably be easier to take down walls and handrails.... My set is similar and I can't see how it would come apart easily.
