HAve had this set for about a year now... Recently, the audio has really been bugging me. It seems as if my baby got a hold of the remote and changed the settings. I can barely hear any of the voices, but all of the background sounds are REALLY loud. I tried going into my setup menu and changing from stereo to mono, etc...but it skips right over audio mode...wont even let me select it. The SAP button doesn't do anything either... Any ideas?

Does your TV have an EQ? Maybe try adjusting the treble and bass. Also some TV's have "Turbo sound" or "Stupid ultra virtual surround." Maybe a sound option like that was selected by mistake. I'd check for that first, then maybe try adjusting your EQ, treble and bass.

I have had the Panasonic HDTV model PT-47WX53G for about 3 years now without any problems. We just moved and I'm now having the exact same audio problem you've explained. Unless someone knows how to fix this problem, I'm going to have BestBuy come check it out.

Figued out that you cant make any audio adjustments in video mode. You HAVE to be in TV mode to fix.
