What are the recommended picture settings for a TH-42PX600U? There was an older post that showed the recommended picture settings for the TH-50PX500U but I cannot find it.

There are no recommended picture settings since each TV, viewer and environment are unique. Someone else' settings could be in the ballpark, but they could also be way off.

Thanks. I realize that however, there was a thread that offered a start with "standard" settings. One would have to adjust from there based on their particular environment.

I just finished tuning a Panny plasma and if you go into the user settings and select "standard" "vivid" or "cinema", it takes you to the "default" settings for each of those.
This was a real pain in the butt for me because I hit that option twice by mistake while "calibrating" and had to re-enter MY settings (luckily I had written them down). The default settings were a long ways from how I finally set up the TV (using a Spyder) and my "customer" was very pleased.
Or are you talking about the Service Menu settings?

User settings for the 600u.
Now that you mention saving settings, this is something I did not do on my 500U. It would be a pain if they were lost. :headb:
