Sony KDF-E50A10 Fan Noise Issue

I just bought this TV, and I love the picture quality and overall design. My only problem is that the fan noise is really loud. It is loud enough that I have to have the sound over setting 10 to drown out the noise. Does anyone else have this problem? I am still within the 30 day return window at CC, and I am thinking about returning the TV for a Samsung 50 inch DLP.

Any thoughts?

There is a saying about not throwing the baby out with the bath water.
Ditching the fine picture the Sony 50" LCD RPTV has over a malfunctioning fan is sort of silly, IMO.
Many of my clients (and friends) have bought the 42" and 50" A10 series from Sony without any fan noise problems and preferred the Sony set before purchase over the Samsung.
The A10 series from Sony is one of the best sellers in the stores I frequent with clients, so it cannot be the set model or series, it's just your set. :)
Samsung sets have had colour wheel problems, too, but I don't discourage anyone from buying them, it is preference, but since you already bought a Sony A10, exchange it for another one, I doubt you will have any concerns with the second unit.
I have a Sony LCD RPTV 60" and suffer no fan noise - had the set since December of 2004 in a very quiet Rec/Gym area, so I think you just have a noisy fan unit....just my experience/opinion. :D

I have the KDF42WE655, which I bought in July of 2005. It does have fan noise, but I only hear it when the set is initially turned off till it cools down. I never hear it when watching tv...even during the quietest scenes. So, I also think that you just have a noisey fan and would exchange it for a new one as already suggested.
