Hi, I recently bought this DVD player upscaler mainly because of the HDMI output... and for the most part is working fine... except when I try to play a DVD+R DL disc. For some strange reason it does not play (actually it played one in about 20)...it reads a DVD+R just fine...and my crummy Toshiba played the DL disc just fine. I was reading on the specifications for the player and it didnt mention DVD+R DL... but it has played once...and plays a DVD9 anyways, does it just not accept DVD+ DL (verbatim)?... was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem? hmmmm.

well, no responses so I guess I was the only one having this problem....
anyways... I think I have found the solution. It was all in the burn. I was using DVDdecrypter... and decrypter noted that my Verbatim DL was capable of being burned at 8x. Even the Verbatim disc spindle says its capable of up to 8x. So to be on the safe side i was running it at 6x. But this is where I was having a problem. So after about 3+ coasters I decided to maintain at 4x. And it works!
I am using a Sony DRU-810A DL burner which also burns DVD+R DL at 8x. so it baffled me that 6x wouldnt work, only 4x. weird huh, anyways, so if anyone seems to have this problem, my new suggestion would be to slow the "write" speed down.
