Hello all...Fairly new to all this HD stuff. But I recently bought a Samsung SIR-T451 to receive OTA digital/HD channels and would like some suggestions for an antenna to buy. I went to antennaweb.org and got the following information for the transmitters in my area. (Call sign, Channel, Compass Orientation, Miles From, Frequency Assignment)
WEWS-DT, 5.1, 156 degrees, 9.4 mi, 15,
WKYC-DT, 3.1, 146 degrees, 9.6 mi, 2,
WJW-DT, 8.1, 158 degrees, 10.1 mi, 31,
WUAB-DT, 43.1, 155 degrees, 9.0 mi, 28,
WOIO-DT, 19.1, 147 degrees, 9.3 mi, 10,
WVIZ-DT, 25.1, 167 degrees, 10.9 mi, 26,
WBNX-DT, 30, 148 degrees, 9.5 mi, 30,
WQHS-DT, 61.1, 150 degrees, 9.4 mi, 34,
I realize that I am fairly close to the transmitters and that is good. Given the fact that they all are fairly close to one another, do you think that a directional UHF/VHF antenna would be the route to go as opposed to a multipath? Anyhow, give me some suggestions please for an antenna to use. I have used an indoor UHF/VHF antenna from radio shack and received a few stations but never WKYC (VHF). I really would like to get that VHF station too! Thanks in advance for suggestions.
